The idea that US President Donald Trump’s negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin will bring about lasting peace in Ukraine has been met with scepticism across Europe. FRANCE 24 spoke to political scientist Anton Shekhovstov about what the US can learn from earlier attempts to end Russian occupation across the former Soviet Union.
