As Siddharth Nigam made his way to participate in the spiritual ritual, he recently sat down for a conversation to recall his experience of taking a dip in the Triveni Sangam.

Born in Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad), actor Siddharth Nigam recently visited his hometown for the Maha Kumbh, the world’s largest religious gathering. The event which began on January 13 and will continue until February 26 witnesses pilgrims from across the nation and the world. After Siddharth made his way to participate in the spiritual ritual, he sat down for a conversation with a media portal to recall his experience of taking a dip in the Triveni Sangam.

In a conversation with Etimes, Siddharth Nigam shared, “I took a dip in the Triveni Sangam and felt so good. The water was very cold, but I did not want to come out. I felt a lot of peace and calm being in the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati sangam. It’s a divine experience, which makes you forget all your worries. It is truly a blessing.”

Moving on, Siddharth Nigam also recounted his childhood days in the pious city as he mentioned that the Kumbh Mela was a part of his lives and his time in the city recently brought back so many childhood memories. Reflecting on how the city has changed over the years, Siddharth added, “When we were kids, if anyone asked us how to reach the Kumbh Mela, we would joke that just get pushed by the crowds and you will reach there! But now, the facilities are very good and it is all being managed really well.”

Interestingly, Siddharth Nigam’s debut TV show Maha Kumbh: Ek Rahasaya, Ek Kahani was also shot during the Kumbh Mela. “I was only 12 years old then and today, viewers are sending me videos from the show, comparing it to my recent picture taking the holy dip,” he added.

Before this, Siddharth Nigam posted a series of photos and a video on Instagram, encapsulating his experience at the Triveni Sangam. The first photo shows him standing at the event, reflecting the calmness of the moment. The clip shows him speaking to his fans before taking the dip as he says, “Hello everyone. Main aaya hoon Prayagraj ki is pavitra nagri mein, Triveni Sangam mein snan karne. Har Har Gange.”

On the professional front, Siddharth Nigam impressed many with his roles in popular television shows like Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat and Aladdin-Naam Toh Suna Hoga. He has also been a part of films like Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Dhoom 3 and Munna Michael.
